Sinanju WiP- Tossing ideas around

Right now I’m thinking of handling the shield in this fashion, via drilling holes in the outer armor of the model. The pc part you see here will protrude up a bit (though I can slide or remove it entirely with no problem) and will connect to another pc part on the end of a connecting rod attached to the shield that I’m hoping to also hinge/make removable. While Busterbeam’s shield mod probably makes a lot more sense I’m a bit OCD about maintaining symmetry. I’d really like some feedback on this idea though.

For the record, I did think about having the pc parts reversed…but the PC D part that connects to the PC G part doesn’t fit in the arm.

hey first time to post here. nice blog! i like the pictures and layout!

when you say symmetry are you talking about both the left and right arms or just that left forearm itself? i get where you’re coming from though. i just eyeballed my forearm mod. i do understand that OCD aspect of modelling. all too well actually.

hi bb, glad you like it!

keeping the left/right arms the same is a priority on my list. I have everything tested out right now (the shield sits happily on the arm!), but still need to figure how how i’m going to shape the hole in the armor to allow for this to work.
