Katoki Bonanza.

Happy holidays, everyone! It didn’t occur to me til after I almost finished typing this post that I was making it on Christmas Day, oops. Here’s hoping you all have a fun and safe christmas/new year.

The Banshee ver. Ka page is now live even though I haven’t installed LEDs in to it yet. The kit still looks fantastic even though I haven’t put the final touches on it yet so I wanted to get a page up for it.

The Sazabi ver. Ka was coming along very well and I really like how the dark gunmetal and light gunmetal are working on the frame along with the chrome and gold accents. Now, why ‘was’ coming along well instead of ‘is’? I’ve run in to a slight problem care of my town…

My air compressor is down there. The water has since drained and I’ve had it drying out for a few days but I am certain that at the very least, the regulator/moisture trap is definitely shot. If the entire thing is ruined a replacement of the same make and model will only run me 70$. Between my upcoming trip out of state and this, it’s given me a large setback in working on the Sazabi. I’ll be back on the 30th and I’ll likely see what the damage is then and go from there. In the meantime, I’ve been working on the photoshoot for another kit that I finally wrapped up:

But the page for that won’t be up til well after the holidays. ‘Til next time!

    Hey Lupes, how’s life been?

It certainly has been awhile. Ready to step back into the game?

Whoa, there’s a name I haven’t seen in a long time! Hey man! I hope your studies in Japan and anything that came after treated you well. How’ve you been doin all these years?

Life has been a whirlwind since the last update to this blog. My then-girlfriend moved from IL to live with me, then after a few months we moved back to IL and a year later bought a house. To top it all off we got married in October! Things have been absolutely crazy but in the best way for sure.

I don’t have much time to build/photograph gunpla these days, but that hasn’t stopped me from finishing a few kits that I never put here on the blog. To name a few: RG Wing Zero Custom, RG Astraea type F, RG Exia, MG Banshee Norn, MG Wing Rinscita Alba, MG Jesta (this one got customized with with parts from an old MG Banshee and ReZEL Type-C!) aaaaand a PG Unicorn Gundam with LEDs and the Armed Armor BS/VN set! I’ve got a couple things in the works too, like a four armed PG Astray/PG Strike mashup (the groundwork is done for this one), a revamp of my PG Wing Zero build, a PG Banshee in the works as well! You got anything in mind for a nice little comeback?

Woah that’s a lot happened these past few years! Congratulations on your marriage and having a house! Happy for you, man 🙂

I’m doing good now. That wasn’t the case the past few years though. Like your life, mine has been a whirlwind since coming back to Japan. Just lots of pondering, confusion, analyzing perspectives, and what does it all mean at the end. All the while got lost and hit rock bottom and then fell off the face of the Earth. Just a bad case of “life”. But starting to come around full circle now.

Great to hear that you’re actually still busy building stuff even when you are not blogging. I am very much still stuck in the past as far as Gunpla goes. I haven’t done anything Gunpla related in like 4 years until now. I am very outdated and still have a lot of catching up to do.

Saying that, I am picking up where I left off and now trying to piece my blog back together doing what I do. Pacing myself very slowly though. We’ll see how long that will last.

Would like to see photos of all the models you’ve mentioned even if not on this blog 🙂

Take care and Happy New Year!
